Feeling trapped is a feeling that everyone has experienced. It can be emotional, like a relationship with someone. Or it can be physical, like a place that feels alien. It can also be both, currently for most in the form of a pandemic that has isolated everyone in their homes. As a form of escape, many individuals indulge themselves in the world of games, special media, and spending more time on the internet. However, it becomes a cycle of keeping oneself busy to escape.

The game Restart is a game of choices that lead to outcomes that will loop back to the beginning. It was made like this not to serve annoyance and frustration to the player but rather a chance at the realization of the loop that this world, the real reality, is stuck in, especially through these trying times. It is through the black and white lenses of a trapped little black box does the audience realize that this game is pointless, to only gain more experience and learn more of the world in the game to once again restart.
